This year the Festival of Thrift theme is the 190th anniversary of the first passenger steam train. The overlying theme of the festival each year is consistent in emphasising the need for sustainability, recycling, and thrift.

The purpose of the stall is to promote emerging local artists by offering exclusive work at the festival related to the brief.
