Updates, events and opportunities

Hello

Since our last newsletter in December we’ve been working on some upcoming events and opportunities for the weeks and months ahead, which we’re pleased to be able to share with you in this newsletter.

These include the announcement of our artist for the Zetland Road residency as part of Celebrating Hidden Middlesbrough, events in February taking place at The Masham (our creative space in Middlesbrough town centre) and some of the work we’ve been doing around Middlesbrough Heritage Action Zone.

We’re looking forward to an inspiring and positive year ahead and look forward to you being part of it with us.

Amy Davies – Zetland Road Artist in Residence

We are delighted to announce Amy Davies as our Zetland Road Artist in Residence for the next 6 months as part of the Celebrating Hidden Middlesbrough programme.

Amy Davies is an artist who lives and works in Teesside. Her creative practice is an expanding investigation into the nature of drawing as a means to understand the world around us. Exploring drawing in the widest sense, she predominately works with graphite and paper.

“I feel really excited about the research opportunity this residency will provide. My own practice has much to do with language, experience, trying to put an image to a sense of embodiment, disease, joy or distress. I’m fascinated to be working with the stories, words and spaces of other people; past and present.” – Amy Davies
