We were delighted to share our story about the creative use of empty spaces with the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation. This is now featured as part of their national ‘Valuer’ publication and includes our reflections on the last 13 years.
This began with our first space – Dundas House, a large office block in the centre of Middlesbrough which we took on in 2011, facilitated by a partnership between East Street Arts and Hammond Associates.
Since then we’ve gone on to activate numerous buildings across Tees Valley and County Durham, supported scores of artists with workspace and invited people into cultural activities with our creative spaces and places programmes.
In 2025 we’re looking forward to evolving this further with the creation of a new charity – Navigator Creative Spaces. Watch this space!
